Children’s Fellowship of India serves Jesus Christ by providing for the educational, housing, clinical and spiritual needs of children.

Our vision also includes meeting the temporal needs of others and providing evangelistic and discipleship ministries within the communities to which we are called and able to serve.

A letter from the president emeritus

THE LORD OF HEAVEN AND EARTH HAS GONE ON RECORD!

• The Lord is "a father to the fatherless" (Psalm 68:5)
• "In you (Hosea says, 14:3) the orphan finds mercy"
• "The unfortunate commits himself to You; You have been the helper of the orphan." (Psalm 10:14)

The Scriptures both declare and affirm that the living, sovereign God has a special affection and protection for the orphan. This is what caused James, through the Spirit, to write that "pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans …" (1:27)

The word "visit" means to go with the intent of caring and helping. This is what God does.

This has been the ministry of Children's Fellowship of India since 2001. We have been committed as a ministry to be the hands, feet and heart of the One who loves the orphan so much. And the Lord has certainly demonstrated his love as He has worked through our humble efforts over the years. For this He deserves all the credit!

Starting out with a handful of boys in crowded rental spaces, God saw fit to grow this ministry. He provided a bare parcel of ground outside of the village of Naya Akola – and then began improving the property as building after building began to emerge. In a little more than a decade CFI became a fully functioning ministry campus caring for the lives of over 200 orphans. We have had the privilege of watching boys grow up under our care and then "graduate" to go on to further vocational and ministry training. We are watching the Lord fulfill the vision of CFI by bringing hearts to Jesus Christ and then equipping them to be servants and lights in their country and culture.

The Lord has been pleased to do so much of His work through the kindness and sacrificial giving of His people. We are grateful for the many who stand with CFI and have invested themselves over the years. It is not a small thing to say that after all these years, with so much building development, the ministry of CFI remains debt-free.
